Grand Variety Show at Oscars to benefit Thais4Life and the
 Camillian Centre

"A great success" would be putting it mildly. Tuesday, December 18 by 8.30pm Oscars in Boyz Town was full to capacity, with extra tables on the soi, as the crowd waited to see the show at 10pm.

And the wait was well worthwhile. The show was hosted by Norman Vernon from England and is renown for his fund-raising work for the Camillian Centre in Rayong.

The guest artistes appearing included the inimitable Dolly John, Fat Karen from Sydney, singing and comedy sensation Geoff Vernon and the fabulous Maisie Trollette from the UK.

After the show a special draw was held to win a 100 year old silver Rama V one baht coin mounted in a one baht of gold amulet, this was donated by John from Hawaii.

This fantastic prize, valued at over 18,000 baht, was won by Graham and Wut.

A charity auction and lucky draw followed this and it was then announced that the evening had raised a staggering 104,000 baht which was divided evenly between Thais4Life and the Camillian Centre.

Norman Vernon said that the Camillian Centre's dream of a swimming pool is soon to become a reality. Thais4Life are currently involved with Jing Jai orphanage and other ongoing projects.
